A flexible, multi-faceted and highly motivated IT Professional with a passion for enabling users to achieve the most from technology. I am quick to learn new concepts, domains and skills. I have a can-do attitude and extensive experience as both manager and engineer working across a diverse range of equipment, cultures and environments including not-for-profit. Manager reporting directly to the Executive Director from Sept 2008.
Applied knowledge of digital capabilities to internal process improvement particularly in requirement capture and the application of IT to existing processes.
Took on the strategic management of the desktop applications used within the RNZFB and am consulted on the suitability and accessibility of new Enterprise systems such as CRM and network upgrades in collaboration with the IT Manager and stakeholder requirements.
Lead development of technology policies and positions for the RNZFB.
Developed, and implemented, a strategy to create a Digital Accessibility team.
Needs Assessment and applications for funding from Workbridge and other funders to provide members with appropriate adaptive technology.

Achieved significant saving of $40,000 p.a. in year 2010/11 by reassessment of lease equipment requirements and renegotiation with the supplier. This equipment was deployed across the organisation so achieving agreement required both negotiation with, and a strategic overview of the differing requirements of, all departments.
Change managed the team through restructuring and a major service redesign.

Project Manager and lead engineer for a migration to IBM Rational Clearcase Configuration Management System including definition of requirements and system architecture analysis and definition.
Responsible for a team of up to 10 engineers including recruitment of remotely managed engineers in India.
Production of Functional, sub-system and customisation documentation to support customers and Electronic Programme Guide development teams.
Definition of the UK based components and GUI design for the NDS Digital Personal Video recorder. (Deployed in New Zealand as ‘My Sky’)
